I love that the thought of them breaking up or cheating gets us so upset, and they aren't even a couple yet.

Warning - unpopular opinion ahead:

I think part of the thrill of the fandom for me is seeing them struggle to get together. Although my heart will be full of creys and fangirly giddiness when they finally do, part of me is afraid that I'll start becoming disinterested in the ship. So the idea that someone or something might come between them makes me a little excited because I love this struggling part of their relationship storyline.

I'm sort of the same way. When the couples I want to get together they seem to disinterest me in someways.

HOWEVER. If there is a bit of angst filled in with the cute bubbly scenes I think I won't mind

I agree to some extent. I don't like when everything is rainbows and sunshine. I like my angst. I'm an angst girl.

So I'm okay with them having problems. Any relationship is bound to have some bumps in the road. But I'm just worried they'll be ruined like so many of Glee's couples have been.
